Bubble Chat is a location-based group chat app. We believe in minimal data collection — we only store what's necessary to connect you with nearby conversations.
Bubble Chat stores a randomly generated device identifier and display name on our servers. When you use the app, your approximate location is sent to our servers over HTTPS to determine which bubbles are near you. We do not collect your real name, email address, phone number, or any other personal information.
Your location is used solely to place you into nearby chat bubbles. Location data is processed in real time and is not stored permanently. We do not build location histories or track your movements over time.
Messages sent within bubbles are stored on our servers for the lifetime of the bubble. When a bubble pops (all members leave), the bubble and its messages are deleted. We do not archive or retain message content after a bubble is removed.
Bubble Chat does not integrate any analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs. We use Apple's and Google's standard push notification APIs only.
All communication between the app and our servers uses HTTPS. Device credentials are stored securely on your device using the platform's secure storage (iOS Keychain via Secure Store). Our servers are access-controlled and regularly maintained to protect your data.
Bubble Chat does not require account creation. You are identified only by a randomly generated device ID and display name. No real names, email addresses, or phone numbers are collected.
Bubble Chat is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
If we ever change our data practices, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
